South View Baptist on Elk Road will be providing lunch and dinner today (10/14) and tomorrow (10/15)

12:15 and 5:30 until they run out.
 
They will also have clothing available from 5:30-7:30
 

Redeemed Christian Church 918 Person St. – Today (10/14)

 
Will be providing hot meals, clothing, water, and non perishable items at 3:00 until gone

E.E. Smith’s Soccer Team will play Southview  High on Monday, October 17th and Cape Fear October 19th.

Our tennis and volleyball teams will have games against 71st High on Wednesday, October 19th at 5:00 p.m.

Note:  E.E. Smith’s varsity football game against South View High has been rescheduled for November 11th. The change has been made in response to the NCHSAA decision to extend the season because of the devastation caused by Hurricane Matthew. 

Our varsity game at Cape Fear has been scheduled for  October 22nd.  The gate opens at 6:00 p.m.

Our junior varsity team will have a football game against Cape Fear High  on Thursday, October  20th.  The gate will open at 5:45 p.m.

Financial Aid Night 

Financial Aid Matters!

Are you a parent or guardian of a Senior planning to attend college or technical school?  It is very important to plan for this expense.  The average cost of attending a state supported college or technical school can exceed $12,000 per year.  Private college and university costs can exceed $50,000 per year. There will be a Financial Aid workshop here at E.E. Smith High School on Thursday, October 20th in the Auditorium at 6:30 pm   Seniors and their parents are invited to attend.  During the workshop you will learn about grants, scholarship tips, fee waivers, FAFSA updates, and more.   The early bird catches the worm!  It is time to start planning now!

All parents, students, and teachers are invited to the School Improvement Meeting October 10th at 3:30 pm.  The meeting is usually held in Room A15.

A Senior Parent Meeting will be held in the Auditorium at 6:00 pm. A representative from Jostens will be in the Media Center Atrium from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm for Junior and Senior class orders for class rings and graduation products.
