There will be a Parent Student Teacher Association meeting today, February 19th in the Media Center.  Mr. Underdue, our Principal will address the attendees.  He will discuss “Preparing Our Students” for the Future.  Meeting begins at 12:30 PM  Refreshments served.

Attention Student Poets!  The Annual Dean Elinor F. Roster Poetry/Short Prose Contest  is now open for entries.  The following cash prizes will be awarded  in each category:

  • $250 for first place,
  • $150 for second place,
  • $100 for third place.

PAC 9 Tournament at E. E. Smith High School this weekAll members of the E. E. Smith Community are invited to attend the PAC  9 Tournament.  The  EESHS Varsity Women(Seed #1) will play the the Terry Sanford Bulldogs (Seed #2) in the Finals on Friday, February 22nd at 6:00 PM  Tickets are only $7.00.

Celebrate Career & Techical Education Month!February is Career & Technical Education Month.  Here at E. E. Smith we have a variety of courses that students can learn certifications.  These certifications can help students get jobs at higher salaries.  Find out about the CTE Program by talking with a CTE student or teacher.

Students that are interested in taking courses at Fayetteville Technical Community College, there will be an OPEN HOUSE Tuesday, February 5, 2019 from 5:30pm-7:30pm on the campus of FTCC at the Tony Rand Student Center.  Courses are open to students that meet these requirements.
  • Open only to Juniors and Seniors with a  minimum 3.0 GPA 
  • Students must pass testing requirements to be eligible (Found on Page 22 of Selection Guide) 
  • Students must have no discipline or  attendance issues
  • Transportation will be provided
