NewsFrom today’s Fayetteville Observer – Cheers and Jeers Section

Cheers to Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Deputy School Resource Officer Daniel Singleton of E. E. Smith High School. Deputy Singleton’s daily presence and positive role model protection and influence go beyond the High School campus.

A ninth grade student from E.E. Smith underwent major back surgery in November. Deputy Singleton’s weekly visits and acts of kindness demonstrated the servitude mentality he performs daily in his S.R.O duties.

Deputy Singleton, thank you for the passion, compassion and commitment you provide to this family, and to the students and staff at E.E. Smith High School.

– Larry M. Epler, Fayetteville
